QUEEN VICTORIA, first type, 1856, with filletted head of Victoria left by James Wyon (McD.003), struck with the re-worked 1853 pattern reverse die. Nearly extremely fine and a close second to the Quartermaster Collection coin (lot 230), Spink Australia Sale 6 (lot 1078) and Sale 39 (lot 1645), excessively rare.
