AUGUSTUS AS OCTAVIAN, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, uncertain Italian mint (probably Brundisium, maybe Rome), issued 30-29 B.C. (3.584 grams), obv. Actian Apollo laureate head to right within linear circle, rev. IMP CAESAR in exergue, Octavian veiled and laureate ploughing with yoke to right, and in left hand a whip, (S.1560, RIC 272, C.117, BMC 638). Minor banker's marks on the obverse, otherwise very fine and rare.
