TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarii, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 14-37, (3.506 grams), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around partial legends TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, others (2, 3.838 grams and 3.678 grams), (S.1763 [£375 EF], RIC 30, BMC 48, H.916 [304]). All with knocks and weaknesses, very good - fine. (3)
Of Biblical importance as the issue is often described as the Tribute Penny (Mark 12: 14-17).
