NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE dupondius, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 66, (15.254 grams), obv. laureate head of Nero to left, around IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MA[X TR PPP], rev. S C in exergue, Securitas relaxed seated to left holding sceptre, lighted altar and torch at feet, around SECVRITAS AVGVSTI, (cf.S.1967, RIC 518, BMC 341, WCN 523). Weak and missing part of the end of the obverse legend, brown and green patina, otherwise very fine and rare in this condition.
