TITUS, (A.D. 79-81), silver denarius, Rome mint, issue of A.D. 79, (3.442 grams), obv. IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG [P M], laureate head to right, rev. TR P VIIII IMP XIIII COS VII P P, radiate figure on rostal column, (S.2509 [£140 VF], RIC 10, BMC 13, RSC 272). Good very fine, some mint bloom around letters and very rare in this condition.

With ticket from CNG (US$250). The reverse is copied from a coin of Octavian. The Reka Devnia hoard of 88,044 silver coins contained 431 coins of Titus but only 6 of this variety.
