SOUTH AFRICA, The South African Red Cross Society Proficiency Medallion, undated, in sterling silver (28mm), with suspension loop, inscribed to 'Nanette Irene Chapman'; Roberts Heights Pretoria, Xmas 1917, in bronze (23mm), uniface, with suspension loop; Ciskei Independence Medal, 1981, in oxidized bronze (39mm). Very fine - good extremely fine. (3)

Roberts Heights was the military base in South Africa founded in 1905 and named after Lord Roberts. In 1939 it changed name to Voortrekkerhoogte and since 1998 has been renamed Thaba Tshwane, headquarters of the South African National Defence Force.
