FAUSTINA SENIOR, wife of Antoninus Pius, (died A.D.141), silver denarius, (3.302 grams), issued after 147, Rome mint, obv. draped bust to right of Faustina, around DIVA FAVSTINA, rev. Aeternitas or Juno standing facing head to left, raising right hand and holding sceptre, around AETER NITAS, (S.4574, BMC 345, RIC 344, RSC 26). Lightly toned, round and nearly extremely fine.

Ex Patrick Cooper Collection with his ticket, bought from Vecchi in December 1984.
