COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 185, (3.490 grams), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around COMM ANT AVG P BRIT, rev. around P M TR P X IMP VII COS IIII P P, ROM in exergue, Roma seated to left holding Victory and cornucopiae, (cf.S.5689, RIC 112, RSC 661, BMC 163). Bright, good very fine and scarce.
