SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 197-8, (3.372 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP X, rev. around ANNONAE AVG, Annona standing to left, foot on prowd, holding two corn ears and cornucopiae, (cf.S.6262, RIC 107, RSC 37). Very fine and scarce.
