SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Emesa mint, issued A.D. 194, (2.174 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around IMP CAE L SEP SEV PERT AVG COS II, rev. around SAECVL FELICIT, crescent and seven stars, (S.6361, RIC 417, RSC 628a). Very fine/good very fine and very scarce.

Ex Marc Melcher Collection. 11 examples in Reka Devnia Hoard, which contained 7256 Septimius Severus denarii.
