SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Laodicea mint, issued A.D. 201 (3.210 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around SEVERVS PIVS AVG, rev. around COS III P P, Victory advancing to left, holding wreath and palm, (S.6323, RIC 526, RSC 102). Light grey and gold tone, well centred, extremely fine and rare in this condition.

The Reka Devina Hoard of 81,044 silver coins contained 7256 coins of Septimius Severus contained 15 coins of this variety.
