CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver antoninianus, issued 216, Rome mint, (5.188 grams), obv. radiate bust draped to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Sarapis standing facing head to left, holding sceptre and raising hand, around P M TR P XVIIII COS IIII P P, (cf.S.6772, RIC 280d, RSC 249b). Minor metal flaw on reverse near hand, otherwise nearly extremely fine/good very fine and very scarce.
