ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 220-221, (3.936 grams), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped to right, around IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. around LIBERTAS AVG, Libertas standing to half left holding pileus and sceptre, star to right, (S.7523, BMC 221, RIC 107, RSC 92). Flan crack, otherwise extremely fine.
