EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I (323-283 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued 305-283 B.C., (14.24 g). obv. diademed head to right of Ptolemy I, rev. eagle standing left on thunderbolt, **D* in left field, around **PTOLEMAIOU BASILEWS*, (cf.S.7761, Sv.185, SNG Cop. -, BMC 30). Some surface hoard patination, portrait very fine, otherwise good very fine.
