EGYPT, Kingdom of, Cleopatra VII, (51-30 B.C.), copper forty drachms, (8.68 g), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed bust of Cleopatra VII to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on a thunderbolt, to left cornucopiae, around trace of **KLEORAS BASILISSHS*, to right [M] = 40, (S.7956, BMC 6-11, Sv.1872). Good colour, uneven colour as usual, nearly fine and very rare.

Ex D.J.Foster Collection and from Noble Numismatics Sale 47 (lot 2052 [$150]).
