GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), AE Sestertius, (15.902 grams), Rome mint, obv. laureate bust to right of Gordian III, draped and cuirassed, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Felicitas standing to left, holding caduceus and cornucopiae, around FELICITAS AVG, S C across, (S.2484, RIC 310a, C.76). Obverse field scratches, green patina, otherwise very fine, scarce.
