CNAEUS POMPEY JUNIOR (ELDEST SON OF POMPEY THE GREAT), (46-45 B.C.), silver denarius, (4.02 g), Spanish mint, obv. Roma head to right in Corinthian helmet, around M. POBLICI. LEG PRO, PR behind, rev. female Hispania to right, presenting palm to Pompey alighting from prow, around CN. MA[GNVS] IMP, (S.1384, Cr.469/1a, Syd.1035). Attractive, slightly off centred, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.

Ex D.J.Foster Collection and previously from Superior Stamp & Coin Co., August 13, 1995 (lot 1087).
