IOVI VICTORI around, S C in exergue, Jupiter seated to left, holding Victory and sceptre, (cf.S.2766, RIC 794 [2nd edn]) (illustrated); Nerva, (A.D. 96-98), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 97, obv. laureate head of Nerva to right, around traces of IMP NERVA CAES AVG P M TR P COS III P P, rev. around CONCORDIA EXERCITVVM, clasped hands, (S.3042, RIC 80, C.30). First coin nearly very fine/very fine, second coin good and rare. (2)

The first coin shows Jupiter the Victorious sitting with the image of Victory in his right hand. He is regarded as the conqueror of all things. In this example Domitian designates to himself the form and attributes of Jupiter Victor.
