SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 231, Antioch mint, (3.17 g), obv. laureate draped bust to right, around IMP SEV ALEXAND AVG, rev. VICTORIA AVG, Victory running to right, holding wreath, (cf.S.7930, RIC 302, RSC 561a). Off centred obverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine and scarce.
