MAXIMUS CAESAR, (A.D. 235-238), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 236-8, (3.08 g), obv. bare head of Maximus to right, around IVL VERVS MAXIMVS CAES, rev. around PIETAS AVG, sacrificial implements, (S.8404, RIC 1, RSC 1). Attractively toned, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
