TRAJAN, (A.D. 98-117), imitative cast after 18th century on medallic flan (36.68 g), of the sestertius of Trajan, obv. laureate head of emperor to right, rev. Emperor on horse back spearing foe, (Klawans -, cf. RIC 534); Marcus Aurelius, (A.D. 161-180), imitative cast medal after original medallion, (38.80 g), obv. laureate bust of emperor to right, rev. Victory in quadriga to left, in exergue traces of VICT GERM, around IMP VI COS III, (cf.Gnecchi 57, Pl.63,7). First with severe edge knocks, otherwise fine, second fine, both rare.
