ISLAMIC, Anatolia & al-Jazira (Post-Seljuk), Zangids (Syria), Nur al-Din Mahmud,ÿAH 541-569 = AD1146-1173, AE Dirham 23mm, (4.14 g), al-Halab (Aleppo) mint, obv. Two Byzantine style imperial figures standing facing, supporting between them labarum resting on three steps, rev. Christ standing facing, holding Gospels. (A.1850, S&S Type 73). Fine - very fine, dark brown patina, areas of flat strike, scarce.
