SULTANS OF DELHI, Islam Shah Suri, (952-960 A.H., 1545-1552 A.D.), silver rupee, (11.335 grams), no mint name, Wright Type B, dated 952, obv. three lines in square, (the Kalina), around (the four successors), rev. four lines in square (Islam Shah son of Sher Shah Sultan, etc), (G&G D980, cf.Wright 1318A, M.2671, BMC 604, Rajgor 1791). Extremely fine.
Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 50 (lot 1870). The curious 1477 issue with this date in the outer area.
