BOIOTIA, Boiotian League, Thebes, Federal Coinage. AE 20, (287-244 B.C.), (8.07 g). obv. small head of Athena to right wearing Corinthian helmet, rev. standing figure of Athena to right B OI**WTWN* to right, downwards in straight line, trophy to right with spear and shield etc., all within concave flan, (cf.S.2410 [p.227], HGC 4, 1178 [p.348 S], BCD 82 [p.26, Triton IX], Head "Boeotia" p.83 [Pl.VI,2] = BMC 64 [p,39, Pl.VI, 2], SNG Cop. 376). Very fine with even dark patina, rare.
