IONIA, Ephesus, Domitian, (A.D. 81-96), Silver cistophoric tetradrachm, struck at Ephesus mint, (10.70 g), issued A.D. 82, obv. laureate head of Domitian to right, around IMP CAES DOMITIAN AVG P M COS VIII, rev. CA PIT across field, [RESTIT] in exergue, tetrastyle temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus Capitolinus, containing statues of the Capitoline Triad, Jupiter seated left between standing figures of Juno and Minerva, (S.2715, RIC 222, BMC 251, RSC 23). Good fine and rare.
