Q. MARCIUS PHILIPPUS, (129 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.71 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head right, * behind, rev. Macedonian horseman to right, Q.PHILIPVS below, ROMA in exergue, (S.135, Cr.259/1, Syd.477). Good very fine and scarce.

The coin refers to Q. Marcius Philippus who campaigned against Perseus of Macedon in 169 B.C. He was an ambassador to Philip V.
