Hispania or Baetica presenting palm to a Pompeian soldier (possibly Pompey himself) who is alighting from prow, CN. MAG[NVS. I]MP around, (S.1384, Cr.469/1a, Syd.1035, RSC Pompey the Great 1). Lightly toned, nearly extremely fine and rare.

This coin was struck by Cnaeus Pompey, the son of Pompey Magnus, in an attempt to revive the spirit of the party after his father's murder.
