OCTAVIAN, the Triumvirs, issued 42 B.C., silver denarius (3.90 g), Rome mint, L. Livineius Regulus, moneyer, obv. bare head right, wearing slight beard, around C CAESAR III VIR R P C, rev. Victory standing right, holding wreath in right hand and palm frond over left shoulder, REGVLVS down left, L LIVINEIVS down right, (S.1538, Cr.494/25, CRI 157, RSC 443, Syd.1107, BMC Rome 4260). Off centred reverse, otherwise very fine, toned and rare.
