SOUTH AFRICA, Colony of Natal, Edward VII Coronation Medal, 1902, in silver (29.2mm), schoolchildren issue, by Joseph & Sons of Port Elizabeth, holed for suspension loop. Hairlines, otherwise good very fine.

This type of medal was issued to all children attending Natal Government schools. It is the only known occasion when silver medals were issued to South African school children.
