NATIONAL ART COMPETITION, established 1857, in bronze (145mm) uniface electrotype by Antoine Vechte, diademed bust of Queen Victoria left, within centre circle, continuous scene of allegorical figures around, inscription For Success in The National Art Competition, engraved in oval 'Jane K.Humphries/1863/Stage IXa (Eimer 1512). In leather case of issue, nearly uncirculated.

Made as an electrotype without a reverse and awarded between 1857 and 1865.
