GERMANY, Saxony, Johann Georg II, (1656-1680) two thaler, 1657 (63mm;57.59g), Chemnitz Mint, Constantin Rothe, obv, Duke Johann Georg II on horseback to the right his left hand at the rein, his right holding a sword across the right shoulder, armorial crest below, rev. twelve line inscription honouring the death of Emperor Ferdinand III, acorn mint mark at the base (KM.460, Dav.LS.298). Even grey tone, trace of mount mark at 12 o'clock, otherwise nearly extremely fine and scarce.
