Tyche standing facing, head left holding rudder on globe and cornucopia, E in field to right, (Varbanov 1224, Pfeiffer 277); Elagabalus and Julia Maesa, (A.D. 218-222), AE 27 or five assaria, (13.52 g), obv. Elagabalus laureate bust to right and Julia Maesa bust to left, around legend AVT K M AVP ANTONEINOC AV**G IOVLIA* MAICA AV**G*, rev. Hermes standing left holding purse and caduceus, E to right, (Varbanov 1652, Pfeiffer 473), (illustrated); Gordian III and Tranquillina, (A.D. 238-244), AE 27, (12.92 g), obv. Gordian III laureate draped and cuirassed bust right facing Tranquillina bust to left, rev. Homonoia standing left, wearing kalathos, holding patera and cornucopia, E in field to left, (Varbanov 2044, Pfeiffer 726). Fine - very fine, attractively toned, the Macrinus rare. (3)
