MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.23 g), Lampsacus mint, issued 323-317 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, buckle to left, **ALEXANDROU* to right, under throne **L/W*, (S.6730, Price 1375, BMC 1375a-e, M.623, SNG Fitz. 2239). Nearly extremely fine.
