L. MARCIUS PHILIPPUS, (c.56 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.85 g), obv. Ancus Marcius head to right, [ANCVS] and [lituus] below and to left, dotted border, rev. PHILIPPVS behind equestrian statue to right on an arcade of five arches, within A Q V [A MAR], flower below horse, (S.382, Cr.425/1, Syd.919a, RSC Marcia 28). Off centred with hoard patina, very fine and rare.
