GERMANICUS, son of Nero Claudius Drusus, (born 15 B.C., died A.D. 19), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued under Caligula, A.D. 37-41, (16.87 g), obv. GERMANICVS CAESAR, Germanicus in triumphal quadriga to right, with sceptre, rev. SIGNIS RECEP[T] DEVICTIS GERM, large SC below, Germanicus standing left, right hand raised, holding legionary eagle in left hand, (S.1820, RIC 57, C.7, CBN 140, BMC 93). Nearly very fine, rare.
