ILKANIDS, Mongols of Persia, Local Coinage, First Period, Abaqa, (A.H. 665-680) (A.D. 1265-1282), gold dinar, Yazd mint, (5.17 g), issued A.H. [679 (A.D. 1280-1), (A.2126.1, M.-). Off centred on the obverse, otherwise good very fine and very rare.

Ex Decades Collection and acquired from Noble Numismatics Sale 73 (lot 2234) and from the Iran Hoard, c.1965 where some 100 similar coins were present in the hoard.
