GERMANY, c1940, German National Police other ranks Shako, in bottle green with black leather top, chin strap, band and peaks, peaks are dark green underside, aluminium oval buckles to chin strap, four black metal ventilators, two to each side, circular with fine black metal mesh, National Police eagle badge with manufacturer's marks 'A' over 'M S' on reverse, National cockade in aluminium, manufacturer's marks on reverse '1940' over 'J.F.S.' curved downwards, Shako manufacturer's marks inside 'Erel Tschako / Deutches Reich Patent / D.R.G.M./ Hans Romer / Helm & Mutzenschirmfabrik / G.m.b.h./ Neu - Ulm / Schwaben, together with foul weather cover for police shako. Extremely fine.
