WILLIAM III, Coronation Festival at the Hague, 1689, in silver (33mm) by ?, struck for distribution on the day of the Coronation. Obv. Shield of William III as Prince of Orange, around BRITTAN. LIBER. RELIG. IUSTIT. LEG. VIND. M.D.C.L.XXXIX. Rev. armed female figure leans on a bible placed on an altar, around HANC TUEMUR HAC NITIMUR. (MI.677/53; Van Loon III 389). Nearly extremely fine.
