OPENING OF CRYSTAL PALACE, Sydenham, undated (1854) in white metal (74mm) by Ottley, obverse, view of exhibition building, reverse, four female figures seated upon clouds surrounding a terrestrial globe (BHM 2548); Handel Centenary Festival, 1859, in bronze (51mm) by Taylor, obverse, bust left of George Frederick Handel, reverse, Centenary/Commemoration/Crystal Palace/MDCCCLIX within closed wreath, edge impressed 'W.Joyner Performer', cased (damaged). First medal, with edge knock at 12 o'clock, heavy scratches in obverse field above building, fine and rare, second medal, edge nicks, extremely fine. (2)
