HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, issued 138, Rome mint, (2.94 g), obv. laureate head to right of Hadrian, around HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, rev. ROMVLO CONDITORI around, Romulus advancing to right, holding spear and carrying trophy over shoulder, (cf.S.3538, BMC 710, RIC 266, RSC 1316). Lightly toned, very fine and scarce.
