HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 134-138, (3.24 g), obv. laureate head of Hadrian to right, around HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, rev. around NILVS, the river Nile reclining to right, on urn holding cornucopiae and reed, crocodile below, hippopotamus before, crocodile in water below, (S.3508, RIC 310, RSC 991). Lacquered, toned, very fine or better and rare.
