ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 155-156, (3.24 g), obv. [ANTONINV]S AVG PIVS P P IM[P II], laureate head to right, rev. TR POT XIX COS IIII, Annona standing left, left hand on modius set on prow, right hand holding corn ears, (cf.S.4123, RIC 249, RSC 983). Bright, off-centred obverse, otherwise extremely fine.
