MARCUS AURELIUS, (161-180 A.D.), dupondius, AE 27-28mm, (12.25 g), issued AD Dec 172 - Dec 173, obv. M ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXVII, radiate cuirassed and draped bust of Marcus Aurelius to right, rev. RELIG AVG IMP VI COS III, across S C, Mercury, wearing petasus and short robe, standing front, head left, holding purse in right hand; cock left, at feet, (S.5041, BMCRE IV p. 631, 1462 footnote and Pl.83,10; C. 531; RIC III p. 298, 1070). Very fine/good very fine, rare.
