COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 186, (2.32 g), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around M COMM ANT F FEL AVG BRIT, rev. around SECVR ORB P M TR P XIIII, in exergue COS V P P, Securitas seated to left on throne holding globe, (cf.S.5694, RIC 179, RSC 697, BMC 261). Toned, very fine.
