SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 202, (3.35 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around SEVERVS PIVS AVG, rev. around ADVENT AVGG, Septimius in military dress on horse prancing left, holding spear and raising hand, led by soldier holding vexillum, (S.6255, RIC 248, RSC 1). Good very fine and scarce.
