MAXIMINUS I, (A.D. 235-238), silver denarius, (3.27 g), issued 235 A.D., Rome mint, obv. laureate bust to right of Maximinus I, draped and cuirassed, around MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Pax standing to left, holding branch and sceptre, around PAX AVGVSTI, (cf.S.8310, RIC 12, RSC 31). Large flan, extremely fine.
