BRITISH TOWER PERCUSSION TRADE PISTOL, early-mid 1800s, .79cal, 23.3cm long smooth bore barrel marked at base with 3837, original ram rod, engraved with tower at rear of lock plate and British Proof & View House marks underneath blasting nipple and on top side of barrel, brass butt cap, trigger guard and ram rod sleeve, sleeve has engravings on it (not visually recognisable). Firing hammer does not cock properly, brass butt cap does not seat correctly, ornamental use only, rough to good condition.
