VICTORIA, Lifesaving token of Bravery medal, 1860, in silver (38mm), with suspension loop and ring, obverse inscribed, 'Victoria/March 12th 1860/Presented to/Wm.Fraser.', reverse inscribed, 'As A Token/of his/bravery in saving our lives/at the risk of his own./D.McKenzie./I.W.Jones.' Very fine and rare.

Probably Mr W.Fraser, manager of St Kilda Sea Bathing Company which operated the 'St Kilda by the sea' baths, officially opened in 1860.
