PALESTINE, Judaea, Bar Kochba Revolt. (132-135 CE), silver zuz or denarius (3.16 g), undated issue (year 3, struck 134/5 CE). obv. 'Shim'on' in Hebrew within wreath, rev. 'for the freedom of Jerusalem' in Hebrew, flagon with handle, luvav to right. (S.5663, Mildenberg 121 [O18/R76], Meshorer 283 var. [pellet in center of obv.], AJC II 66, H.726, Bromberg 498 [same dies]). Nearly extremely fine, overstruck on a Bostra drachm of Trajan (cf. SNG ANS 1155).
