M. PORCIUS CATO, (89 B.C.), silver quinarius, Rome mint, (1.86 g), obv. female bust to right, [M.CATO] behind, symbol below, rev. Victory seated right, holding patera, VICTRIX in exergue, (S.248, Cr.343/2, Syd.597, B.Porcia 7). Off centred obverse, otherwise good very fine and scarce.

Ex Dr. Adrian Carr Collection with tickets from a dealer from Denmark and a 1963 ticket from an Italian dealer.
